What Happens to Our Gates During a Power Outage?

During a power outage, gate operations are affected. Here's what you need to know:

The Main Gate will be manually opened and stay open until power is restored.

The Exit Gate at Boeseke Parkway will automatically open and remain open until power is restored.

However, the Penny Lane Gate and the Boeseke Parkway Entrance Gate will be unavailable. At these two locations, Ennisbrook Staff will place caution cones or signage to inform residents to reroute to the Sheffield Gate. Temporary power outages are not usually a threat to life or property, but opening all gates for extended periods during a power outage compromises our community's security. We appreciate your cooperation.

A Special Piece by Caryn Schall

Something has been multiplying on the strips of land that border Jelinda Drive, something not indigenous to the area, yet something that's been spotted with greater and greater frequency. A little bit of (careful) footwork has revealed that these unsightly anomalies are actually products of a species known as "canine," and one of the smaller breeds, at that. What is perplexing is how this canine—shall we call him Rover? —what is perplexing is how this Roamin' Rover can be so prolific and cover so much ground unless—could it be?—he roams without his owner in tow?! That must be the case, surely, for if his owner were with him, he or she would see immediately that what Rover left behind doesn't blend well with the Birds of Paradise and Santa Barbara Sage. And yet... and yet... what if his owner is with him, but this owner is adverse to waste management? Whatever the scenario, these sightings have prompted the following request: Whether your Rover has been a carefree canine cad in the past or one who has been properly leashed but not picked up after, those who live on Jelinda and those of us who walk the street-and don't always watch where we're stepping-would be most appreciative if you accompanied him on his adventures around the community and picked up what he can so generously (sometimes very generously) leave behind. That may sound ruff, but he's worth it, eh?
